Activity-Start indicates the total construction value of projects whose construction started in the given period. Output indicates the amount spent on construction in the given period.

In Q1 2023 the total value of started projects massively fell: the decline is close to 70% calculated at current price. This is partly explained by the high base, the record set at the beginning of last year, but also by the exceptionally low level of Q1 2023. With this, total Activity-Start of the last four quarters has already been sinking for three quarters. Output grew at current price, but this increase is solely the result of the price change.
